Game Support Roadmap

Roadmap of the games Aurora is planning to support in the future.

The games below are what Aurora is planning to support in the future. These are not confirmed, any anything can change at any time.

Please don't take this list as a guarantee. Even if we say a game is going to be supported, we can't confirm that we will because it just might be out of our scope.

Neverness To Everness Supported
Silver Palace Planned
Ananta Unknown
Azur Promilia Unknown
Varsapura Unknown
Wuthering Waves Scrapped

Detailed Information on Each Game#

1. Neverness To Everness Supported#

Our starting game of course, so it's supported. We started on NTE, and are improving Aurora every day to make sure modding is easy for every other possible gacha game!

2. Silver Palace Planned#

Silver Palace is a game we are planning to support on launch day or launch week. It looks like a very promising gacha game that will pop off quite well in the community. Hopefully modding it isn't so hard.

We haven't gotten an invitation to any beta tests yet, so if anyone wants to hook us up you knowwww wink wink (>ᴗ•)

Estimated Release Date: December 2026 - March 2027

3. Ananta Unknown#

Ananta is of course gonna be on our list since its technically supposed to be THE anime GTA 5/6, at least thats what everyone in social media says!

It's also supposed to be the original one, sorry NTE!

The only problem? They run on Unity. Aurora is designed for games running on Unreal Engine. They will 100% be on IL2CPP, which is a hard modelling method for us to modify, at least we think we for now. If it was the older method Mono we wouldn't of had much issues.

There also comes the consequence of porting Aurora to an Unity game. Will the modders adapt to the new StreamingAssets mod loading method? After all most traditional Unity gacha games are modded with a tool like 3DMigoto, it's the standard for Unity games. However it also comes with performance issues and it can only interact with the visual part of the game.

So honestly, the development of Aurora for Ananta is genuinely decided by the community. If mod creators want to learn how to use StreamingAssets then we will support Ananta, hopefully.

4. Azur Promilia Unknown#

The other game on this list is Azur Promilia, developed by the studio that created Azur Lane; when we ran a community poll to see what games the community wanted us to support in the future, Azur Promilia was the third most popular answer.

Since it's estimated to come around mid 2027, we can't confirm support for it yet. We also haven't seem much gameplay of the game.

5. Varsapura Unknown#

This is HoYoverse's first Unreal Engine title, much gameplay hasn't been shown and nobody knows how it will perform. Because the estimated release date is so far back, closer to Early-Mid 2028 - we will be keeping a close watch at updates and decide if we support it like that.

6. Wuthering Waves Scrapped#

Wuthering Waves support is scrapped. Even though it runs on what we can easily work on, Unreal Engine - there is already a functioning ecosystem built for the game.

The game's ecosystem already runs through XXMI and 3DMigoto forks. Making Aurora support it will mean nothing for both the community and us. We'd become a minority, only supporting about <1% of all mods, which would make nobody use Aurora. Nobody making mods for Aurora means we have no use cases for it. No use cases for Aurora means nobody will use Aurora. Nobody using Aurora means mod creators won't bother switching to what Aurora does. It's this chain reaction that we can't control.

We've gotten a good bit of requests for Aurora to support Wuthering Waves, since Aurora is compatible with DX12 people don't have to force themselves on DX11. Newer Unreal Engine builds, especially Unreal Engine 5 games are built to be ran on DX12.

That's also exactly the reason why we have no performance loss or stutters when using Aurora on NTE. Newer architecture, default rendering engine that the game uses. Result? Basically the same performance between using no mods and using mods.

But as we've said, it's not worth it creating WuWa support for Aurora. Unless 30% of all mod creators for the game suddenly decide to also start creating PAK mods for the game, there will be no expansion for the game. Most mod creators will stay with modding on XXMI since they are used to it, nobody wants to learn a whole new infrastructure just to please 1% of the community.
